Time Bomb

Every one is wondering about the co-pilot who crashed the plane he was flying into the side of a mountain, a mountain he knew very well. A place he had been flying over since he was 14 years old. People are in shock, wondering how this could happen? In fact it's happened before. It's pretty obvious to me that this dude was planning something for awhile. The big question is, how someone with a  history of pretty severe
mental illness, could end up flying an airplane with 149 people on board?
If they knew that, do you think they would get on that plane?
 It seems since 2009, when this man started his aviation instruction was unfit for a pilots position, because he was, mentally ill. Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz was declared 'unfit' to fly by docs - NY Daily News
Let me put it this way, do you know, or have you known someone, that you wouldn't even get into a car with let alone pilot a plane? Maybe it's someone you work with, or your friends spouse, or a neighbor?
There are a lot of people walking around who are batshit crazy, they are flying planes too.
This guy just suffered a relationship break up, because his girlfriend thought he was "off" and wanted to get the hell away from him as quickly as possible, people are saying she should have reported him. To where? THE CRAZY POLICE? She's lucky she's still alive. They usually stalk and kill their girlfriends like they're prey.
Then there's this; Don’t blame depression for the Germanwings tragedy | Masuma Rahim | Comment is free | The Guardian
or this;  Don’t stigmatise depression over Alps crash, says top doctor | World news | The Guardian
Right. If you've ever been depressed it's hard enough to function, let alone fly an airplane into a mountain. This guy wasn't just depressed. This guy is a mass murderer.
  One of the worst things about this culture is that we aren't allowed to call a spade a spade, this isn't about depression. It's about psychopathy and it's dangerous. Sometimes, I think people should have warning labels, because you know, he was such a "normal guy" or a "nice young man" how would you ever know you are dealing with some one who is capable of going to such extreme lengths to hide the murderer lurking inside?
How many sick notes did this guy tear up? A MD in Psychiatry isn't worth the paper it's printed on if you can't save innocent lives in order to protect a mass murderer. I wonder if this guy was on the Prozac? Prozac can't do anything about a psychopath's cruel and selfish behavior, besides, these individuals rarely respond to any treatment. This guy was planning to do this and wanted to go down in infamy and didn't care who he took down with him. There are people just like him everywhere, for the most part they are stupid and inept and lazy, living like parasites off of other enablers, they usually don't kill, it's just too much trouble.
Then there's the ones that do, Adam Lanza; The Polygon: American Psycho and Elliot Rodger comes to mind, the chaos and suffering these people cause is immense, yet day after day these horror stories play out, "suddenly" and "without warning" when really, there was plenty of warning, red flags that were ignored.
I have a friend I work with, who has this uncle, I'll call him "Uncle Time Bomb". Uncle Time Bomb is the neighborhood curse, he throws kids off their bicycles if they get too close to him. He distributes religious literature that's anti abortion to his niece. If people park in front of his house he will question any one he can about who's parking there. He will walk into my friends house uninvited. When neighbors see him coming, they scatter. No one wants anything to do with him. This man was discharged from the military for throwing a man against a wall and breaking his back. No one knows if he was ever brought up on charges, they are too afraid to ask. The cops have been called multiple times about his behavior. It's just a matter of time until this guy goes off. The thing about Uncle Time Bomb is that you can see his crazy, others aren't so easy to see. People like him are on Craigslist, Online dating sites, Facebook, they are everywhere. Unfortunately we don't teach people the signs that you may be dealing with a psychopath in real life. They aren't all mass murderers, they "may" be a small part of the population, but chances are you've encountered one, they are very clever and devious about hiding who they really are inside. Until a particularly strange episode in the psychopaths life occurs they are really hard to identify. Maybe no one could have stopped Andreas Lubitz from flying a plane with 149 innocent people into a mountain, but knowing the warning signs of these dangerous individuals can save your life and sanity. Obviously psychiatrists and law enforcement won't save you. Remember, the police believed Jeffrey Dahmer.

Mandatory Madness

There are a lot of things that are just plain wrong, like snow on the first day of spring. How about mandatory voting? Because the president thinks maybe it's time. Obama: Maybe it's time for mandatory voting - CNN.com
The reason he said "maybe" was probably because of the blowback he was going to receive. People aren't voting in droves and there's a reason why, it doesn't matter who you vote for, you are voting against your own interests. No politician cares about who's voting for them. It's the money from special interests that matters. You don't.
When your choices are;
Or maybe;
Even if Elizabeth Warren  got elected or Bernie Sanders, what do you think will happen?
Mandatory voting can't change a corrupt system built on bullshit and corporations. Barack Obama's broken promises should tell you a lot about "Yes we can!" People know they have been had, they aren't voting. Mark Twain came right out and said "If voting maybe any difference, they wouldn't let us do it."
I am guessing that so many of us have turned away from the process and spend our time in other pursuits, that maybe the President wants to be sure we all trot out and vote for Hillary in 2016. I don't know anyone who's interested in voting. Are choices like Jeb and Hillary going to seduce the non voting public into stepping out on a Tuesday in November? If they really want us to vote so much why don't they give us the day off? Then there's the malfunctioning polling machinery and hanging chads to consider, long lines and surly volunteers, we can no longer trust that our votes are even counted. Maybe I'll vote again if we ever have more than a two party system.
The GOP would most certainly fight this.They don't want all the young and disenfranchised voting because they have a terrible reputation, the Democrats are no better, just a kinder, gentler evil. Mandatory voting is never going to happen since it requires legislation, that would require work, Congress and the Senate are allergic to that, unless of course it's about abortion.

Storm In A Samovar

Did anyone check Harry Potter's house? Did Putin drink a Polonium cocktail?
Vladimir Putin has been MIA for 9 days. Opposition leader Boris Nemtsov is shot dead and a report by him on Ukraine is due to come out in April.
The oil and gas market that Russia depends on for export has dropped and almost bottomed out.
 I also stumbled on this. U.S. Army sending armored convoy 1,100 miles through Europe - CNN.comWhy?
Because I have this theory that everything boils down to the petrodollar.
What the hell are we doing with this so-called "Dragoon Ride" as if it's some kind of joy ride, "demonstrating its continued commitment to collective security through a series of actions designed to reassure NATO allies and partners of America's dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region,"
In the last 50 years when have any of our forays into other countries generated any peace or stability? It's a joke. We already have sanctions on Russia, which I am sure is causing problems, mainly for the people of Russia, especially since the Ruble has also bottomed out along with Russian energy. 5 things that tell you sanctions are hurting Russia - Fortune
It looks like the pressures on for Putin to make "different choices" now it looks as if his choice is to just disappear, but for how long?
Moreover, what do the people of Russia want? Guess that's not a consideration, the same way what the people in the US want is ignored by our leaders. We damn sure don't want military action that could set off WWIII in Eastern Europe. While we hear all the time about the defecit and how broke we are, we always have money for escapades interfering in other countries and generally acting like we are the worlds police, when clearly we can't even police ourselves. I wonder what it would look like if  one of our leaders would disappear for over a week? Might not be such a bad idea.

Maybe Putin is just waiting for the swelling to go down and it's just another facelift? What if anything does this have to do with MH-17 and  U.S. intel blaming Russia for shooting down the plane, who then blamed "terrorists" Whatever is going on for Putin to disappear is very odd, considering he doesn't like to show any weakness. Maybe he is on paternity leave? Perhaps the ruble is rubble and he's been taken out by his business "friends." Or maybe he's been overthrown by Pussy Riot?

Daylight Savings Time Brought To You By, U.S.A. Inc.

It's here! The 50th anniversary of the March in Selma, well yeah, but that's not it. International Womens Day, nope.
 It's Daylight Savings Time.
I blogged about this back in 2011, The Polygon: What savings? Here we are in 2015, still going along with
Looks Familiar
Daylight Savings Time. What I've discovered since then is that this doesn't save anything. "More recently, a study of homes in Indiana—a state that adopted Daylight Saving Time only in 2006—showed that the savings from electricity use were negated, and then some, by additional use of air conditioning and heat" There you have it. Utility companies make out and then some.
"When you give Americans more daylight at the end of the day, they get into their cars," Downing says. That's why the petroleum industry has been a longtime supporter of the time change,"  To me, Daylight Savings Time is just another example of how we just can't change. You might think the big to-do in Selma celebrating the 50 year anniversary march would be a real eye opener as far as change goes, nothing's changed in Ferguson and towns all over the U.S., cops can gun down whoever they please and they're mostly black. The only thing that seems to have changed is lynching has gone out of style. When you have cops firing guns at whatever black person they want, no need to bother with lynching.
Then we have International Women's Day well, that's cool, fact is that women still get paid less than men.
It's kind of strange to me that these events have converged. It's all about perception and our inability to deal with reality, primarily because USA Inc. has a stranglehold on all of us. Corporations have no incentive to pay women the same rate as men. The Supreme Court struck down the Voters Rights Act, go right ahead, march across that bridge in Selma, that'll make us all feel better. We'll just keep going on with an anachronistic Daylight Savings Time because neither we nor the government can change.
I have a theory about this country, it's frozen. It's been a hard winter for us all, while the season changes and we get to thaw out, this country won't. It's still in a deep freeze forcing us to go along with Daylight Savings Time nobody wants. Cops are out of control and are enjoying all kinds of military leftovers from Iraq and that situation is only going to get worse. The economy is frozen. The FED hasn't raised interest rates since the crash. Happy days are here again on Wall Street, but I haven't seen life get better for anyone I know.
The jobs report is ecstatically proclaiming there are jobs for everyone! (Until it get's "seasonally adjusted") However, there are no full time jobs and the wages barely make it worth buying the gas to get to it.
The housing market is frozen or of course, worse than what's being "reported", I still see empty houses everywhere.
Reality is just not matching up with what the government is saying and what the media is reporting. The people that are paying attention know that something isn't right. The economy and our basic human rights have been plundered by a minority of plutocrats and their greed knows no end. We can't even end something as simple as Daylight Savings Time because of Corporate Rule, that's not going to change as long as we are as frozen as the system.

Bibi's Business

I don't understand why people are so upset about Netanyahu's visit to address congress this Tuesday. He's been to this country and addressed congress many times before.Take for instance, this occasion in 2002, before the House Committee on Oversight and Government reform.
Yeah, about those nuclear weapons Saddam Hussein had...
I don't know if maybe it's time for a new war now that old ones have grown stale. Maybe he's got even more information about Iran's nuclear program, and the time is right to share his inside information again. Maybe he just wants to visit and pick out some new military toys since Israel "is the largest cumulative recipient of military spending by the U.S. $30 billion of US foreign aid, of which nearly 75% was used to purchase U.S. defense equipment from American companies". So we pay Israel to pay us for weapons we make and ship there. Israel–United States military relations - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
$30 billion. I wonder what we could do with $30 billion in the U.S. to upgrade roads and schools? I also
wonder what Congressman and Senators have been lobbied for a piece of the Israel pie, like Northrup Grumman? Turns out John Boehner has accepted donations from the top four largest arms makers. Lockheed Martin and Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman.  Buoyed by Defense Sector Cash, Boehner Again Takes House Speaker's Gavel
Money is the name of the game in Washington D.C., while I think Boehner thought it was funny to invite Netanyahu to address congress and side step the white house, it's just business to him.
Just two weeks before elections in Israel and Netanyahu has had some serious competition regarding Israels opposition campaign donations which U.S. billionaire S. Daniel Abraham, founder of Slim-Fast Foods Co. is financing. In case you were wondering, Israel is up for sale too! "Almost all of the 1.26 million shekels ($320,098) Netanyahu received for his Likud leadership race in December came from U.S. contributors." Israelis Cry Foul on U.S. Cash Influencing Their Election - Bloomberg Business It's remarkable to run for office and you don't have to spend a dime of your own money and it's not even coming from people in your own country. All the free publicity before Israel's elections can only be a win-win for Bibi.
I still can't get over this guys arrogance, when asked a question he responds with this;
Dude, you are seriously a freak. Watch it here. ▶ Why Did Boehner Make This Awkward Kiss Face at a Reporter? - YouTube
